Case of severe influenza A/H1N1, complicated by pneumonia, lung abscess, myocarditis and pulmonary embolism

Abstract

The case of successful treatment of influenza A/H1N1 with life-threatening complications was presented in the article. The authors analyzed risk factors, pathogenesis of pneumonia, myocarditis and pulmonary embolism complicating viral infection. Prevention of severe influenza A/H1N1 was discussed.
