Searching the role of B-lymphocytes in the immune response and Pathology tuberculosis infection in mice

Abstract

It has been studied the tuberculosis in mice infected by a virulent strain of M. tuberculosis H37RV. Mice The two congenic lines of mices ( CBA and CBA / N-Xid with reduced number of B-lymphocytes) were used. The structure of lung tissue (immunohistochemical staining cryosections), its cellular composition (by flow cytometry), the polarization of macrophages, ARG and on iNOS enzymes, expression of suppressor cytokines and proteins associated with tissue repair and reorganization were investigated at various times after infection. The results showed that the reduced number of B-lymphocytes had no significant effect on the course of disease. Nevertheless, CBA mice observed partial polarization of macrophages on the M2 pathway (increased expression of il10 and tgf? genes) which may reflect an attempt of the immune system to resist the inflammatory process caused by infection.
