Abstract
The aim of current study is to research the possibility of an experimental urinary bladder reconstruction using allogeneic cells of different tissue origin. Multicomponent grafts based on poly-L,L-lactide were seeded with different allogeneic cells and transplanted to 4 groups of male rabbits after partial resection of the urinary bladder.2 months post transplantation all animals which received control scaffolds without cells and scaffolds seeded with fibroblasts and urothelium/smooth muscle cells demon- strated different grades of bladder inflammation with de- crease of its capacity and rejection of transplanted scaffold in the perivesical fat or into the bladder lumen. Oppositein group with scaffolds seeded with mesenchymal stem cells the grade of inflammation at the implantation site was minimal without significant decrease of urinary blad- der capacity. Also in the site of implantation an area of new-formed mucosa was visualized with histologically proved initial stages of reparation and angiogenesis.
