Immediate and long-term treatment results of pulmonary tuberculosis with multidrug resistance of the pathogen (clinical case)

Abstract

A clinical example of the effective treatment of patients with respiratory tuberculosis caused by multidrug-resistant mycobacteria (MDR MBT) is presented. The peculiarity of this case can be called tuberculosis of a patient who underwent fluorographic examination annually, the presence of severe clinical symptoms and the development of multiple destruction in the lung. The appointment of the anti-TB drug linezolid in complex therapy made it possible to achieve abacillation in the shortest possible time, pronounced positive clinical and radiological dynamics of a specific process, and closure of decay cavities in a patient with destructive pulmonary tuberculosis with MDR MBT.
