Bone and joint tuberculosis in children: algorithms for diagnosis and principles for treatment

Abstract

This publication is an adopted variant previously published tutorial «Bone and joint tuberculosis in children: diagnosis and principles for treatment». The tutorial was approved by methodical council of the North-Western State Medical University (NWSMU) for publication, protocol № 4, 05/12/2014, and was published as a joint edition of Science-Research institute of phthisiopulmonology, St.-Petersburg (SPbB NIIPh) and NWSMU, 2015.The text presents as the criteria for clinical and radiologic diagnosis for bone and joint tuberculosis (BJTB) in children as the principles for combined treatment. The criteria are separately described for different forms and locations of BJTB.
