Abstract
Basic principles of diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in children are described in this guideline. The introduction of new immunological tests (test with Diaskintest and Quantiferon TB Gold test) in the clinical practice allows to carry out a differential diagnosis of infection and post vaccine allergies, early diagnosis of TB infection and allows to prescribe an adequate X-ray examination. The main criteria for the tuberculosis diagnosis on the basis of clinical symptoms were submitted, an immunological examination and computed tomography (CT) examination of the chest. For the first time clear char acteristics of intrathoracic lymph nodes were given and protocol of their descriptions during the CT examination. The basic principles of polychemotherapy were discribed during childhood and adolescence, taking into account the prevalence of process, contact and drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
