Treatment of patient with progressive bilateral fibro-cavernous pulmonary tuberculosis with mycobacteria total multidrugresistant to anti-TB drugs (clinical case)

Abstract

A case of successful treatment of bilateral fibro-cavernous pulmonary TB with total drugresistance of Mycobacterium TB (TDR) is presented. Combination of therapy with methods of surgical lung collapse was applied. Clinical improvement and culture conversion was achieved. Combination of TB therapy and surgical methods is promising to gain improvement and even complete eradication in patients suffering with TDR TB.
