Abstract
Actual state of the ТВ epidemic in Russia increases the importance of the BSG vaccination. BCG vaccination sequelae are long known, although are of low frequency. In our country there is no representative statistics of the sequelae structure. The authors present an attempt of the BCG sequelae prevalence and structure in North-West Federal region analysis relying on notification data for several years and their comparison with data of the official statistics of children included in the 5th group of dispensary observation (Statistical form #33). Structure of notified sequelae cases occurred to be hardly dependent on the regional specific attitude to the sequela diagnosis formulation. 56,8% cases were caused by vaccine series involved in two and more events. Lymphadenitis were revealed in 68,2% cases. Territories differed in practices of the dispensary observation of children with bone-joint localized complications. Lack of unified approaches to the sequelae diagnosis results in inadequate programmatic activities and deficiency in the state-provided reimbursements to children with vaccination complications. There is an urgent need in training of regional specialists in unified approaches to the vaccination sequelae diagnosis, case registration and classification. Federal centre for monitoring, treatment and dispensary observation of BCG vaccination sequelae is needed to provide regular trainings and do researches together with vaccine manufacturer in complications, causes and risk factors
