There were examined 124 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (60 women and 64 men, age of 18 to 56 years,55 smokers and 69 non-smokers with TB), treated in the Saint-Petersburg State Research Institute of Phthisiopulmonology at Ministry of Health in 2013-2014. Inclusion criteria: persons 18-80 years with the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis. Exclusion criteria were: mental illness and disorders, alcohol, and drug addiction. The study included smoking status determination, assessment of medical and social factors, and the level of adaptive capacity by multifactorial personal questionnaire«Adaptability». It is shown that smokers with tuberculosis had significantly more determined low level of communicative potential (CP) and moral normativity (MN) compared to non-smokers. 30% of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis have a low level of behavioral regulation, regardless of smoking status.
