Abstract
Based on many years of experience of the Leningrad Institute of Surgical Tuberculosis (LIST), founded by academician P.G. Kornev, and which became part of the Saint-Petersburg State Research Institute of Phthisiopulmonology of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation in 1983. this publication describes current concepts of etiology, pathogenesis, principles and methods of radiation diagnostics of tuberculous spondylitis. Presented optimal algorithm X-ray examination of patients with suspected specific (tuberculous) lesions of the spine.
