Abstract
The review considers various modifiable risk factors for the development of coronary heart disease: smoking, abdominal obesity, low physical activity, insufficient intake of fruits and vegetables, hypercholesterolemia, hy- pertension, diabetes, alcohol consumption, psychosocial factors. Numerous studies have shown that lifestyle changes, such as changing diets, stopping smoking, increasing physical activity, can be effective in preventing ischemic heart disease, improving treatment outcomes and increasing the duration and quality of life of patients.
