Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in women

Abstract

Gender aspects of prevalence, incidence and mortality in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) were analyzed. The authors considered the factors predisposing to the development of COPD in women. The clinical features and treatment of COPD in women were described, including therapy of nicotine addiction.
