Abstract
Institute of Pulmonology, «First Saint-Petersburg StateMedical University. acad. IP Pavlova «The article is devoted to the problems of prevention of smoking relapse in patients with COPD. Relapse is the most common outcome of quit smoking. Accurate prediction of tobacco smoking relapse may be an important clinical instrument used for the treatment of patients with tobacco dependence. To determine the risk of early relapse of various factors were evaluated (smoking status, medical and social factors of anxiety and depression) in two groups: patients with successful smoking quitting (abstinence for 6 and more months) and patients with relapse within eight weeks. The ability to assess the propensity for relapse in smoking patients with COPD who want to stop smoking may help clinicians identify those who are needed in optional integrated treatment of nicotine dependence. Proposed as a result of the research a questionnaire will improve the efficiency of treatment in patients with COPD and thus the quality of life of these patients.
