Prevention and treatment of asthma during pregnancy

Abstract

Problems of prevention, safety and necessity of asthma basic therapy during pregnancy are discussed. The leading role of ICS for the control of asthma duration while pregnancy was shown at a base of literature data. Rising incidence of pregnancy complications in patients with asthma is in direct proportion to the lack of control of the disease, especially in the first trimester of gestation. The lack of adequate basic treatment of the disease increases the risk of threatened abortion, preeclampsia, placental insufficiency.
