Abstract
The analysis of tuberculosis death cases in St. Petersburg in 2015 has showed that mostly of deceased patients were able-bodied male with first detected tuberculosis. In half of cases tuberculosis was diagnosed postmortem or patients were died within the first year of supervision. The high proportion of a MDR/EXDR MBT excretion and multitude lung fibrous caverns were defined at main part of them. The died patients had the various co-morbidities, mostly alcohol abuse. Considerable part of patients died in TB hospitals with duration of stay from 2-3 days to 6 and more months.
