Diagnosis and treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis in a young child (сlinical case)

Abstract

The article presents a difficult clinical case of complicated multidrug resistance TB in a 9 months child. Dysfunctional social conditions and contact with adult TB patients, as well as the absence of BCG vaccination at birth were risk factors for the disease. Conducting a diagnostic complex with the inclusion of modern immunology, radiation and molecular genetic techniques allowed to diagnose in a timely manner on both sides tuberculosis of intrathoracic lymph nodes in tracheobronchial and bronchopulmonary groups complicated bronchopulmonary component C1+2, C6 left lung without information about contact and prescribe appropriate therapy in accordance with the sensitivity of M. tuberculosis.
